Frequently Asked Questions

What should I bring to my visit? 

To help your visit run smoothly, please bring with you:  

  • All of your medications.
  • Your insurance cards.
  • Referral from your primary physician.  

You are welcome to have a family member accompany you throughout your visit.  Please wear comfortable clothing and walking shoes, and let us know if you have any questions.  

Will my records be sent to my primary care doctor? 

If a physician referred you to our office, that physician will receive a report of your visit and the results of any testing unless you instruct otherwise.   

What about insurance? 

We accept most insurance, and participate in most PPO and HMO plans in the area. Please bring your insurance card with you to every appointment. We will bill your carrier directly for the services you receive in our office. Please note: If your insurance requires a referral from your primary care physician, you must bring it with you to our office or have your primary doctor send it to us. If you need assistance obtaining the referral, please let us know and we can help you.  

We are Medicare providers. Please have your Medicare card with you at each visit so that we can bill Medicare directly.  

If you do not have insurance, we have a credit policy and individual financial arrangements can be made.

 

Do I have to go to a particular hospital?

We provide consultative and in-patient care at the following hospitals:

  • Saint Agnes Medical Center
  • Fresno Heart and Surgical Hospital
  • Community Regional Medical Center
  • Clovis Community Hospital 

We also provide consultative cardiology by referral at Sierra Kings Hospital.

For most appointment types you will receive a confirmation message 3 days before your scheduled appointment.  You can choose Voice, Text Message (SMS) or Email confirmations.  You will receive a notification for each method you choose.  We suggest that you choose only one notification type.  PLEASE LISTEN TO, OR READ, THE COMPLETE MESSAGE AND USE THE CONFIRMATION PROMPTS to confirm, reschedule or cancel your appointment.
